Rental unit: Peaceful View (07102)
Title: Very nice rental
Review: The rental is just as it appears in the photos and videos. It's spacious, clean and comfortable. The "starter" quantity of toilet paper, garbage bags, coffee filters, paper towels and other items lasted us through our whole stay (5 nights for 5 people) so we were thrilled with that. Especially the coffee filters and toilet paper. There was also bar soap and makeup remover clothes in each bathroom which I didn't expect. Tons of towels and wash clothes. I appreciate that they put thought into making enough room in the drive way so that I could turn around and go down the drive forward rather than having to back down. The only complaints I would have about the cabin are minor and would not keep me from staying with this company again. The sun sets directly in front of the decks and while it is beautiful, from 5:00 until the sun goes behind the mountain at 8:45 (in July), it is blinding! We tried moving around and going to the lower deck but the decks just became useless during this time if there were no clouds. Thin, roll-down bamboo shades would be a great addition to the deck to diffuse the light a little as the sun sets. We could have kept a shade at a level just below the sun as it set and still see the pretty view. Also, the tv's in the bedrooms are pretty small and are on top of the closets, so at that size and height, they just don't work out very well. I'm pretty tall and I still had to get a chair to stand on in order to put in a DVD to watch. We didn't use these tv's much so it didn't affect our vacation too much. But besides those 2 minor issues, it was a wonderful stay in a nice cabin with a good view.
