Review: I've lived in TN many years, and we have visited the Smokies dozens of times. This time, we wanted a smaller, more cozy get-away for our immediate family to help celebrate my wife's birthday. We found Artist's Nest to be the perfect fit! From the first click of the reservation, to the final phone call to check out, the staff was friendly, accommodating and ready to help in any way. Funny thing is- I never saw them! No dropping by the office, messing with keys, etc. All is done electronically, which some might have issues with. Not me. I like the ease and convenience of online reservations, email confirms and keyless entry systems. Granted, we only stayed two nights, and longer stays might require an office visit or two. The Artist's nest was as clean as any cabin we've been in previously. There was plenty of natural light available for those mountain views everyone loves. To top it off, the entire cabin was nicely furnished in a rustic TN mountain look, perfect for our November visit, even keeping with the Fall/Thanksgiving seasonal themes all throughout the cabin. Very nice touch! The hot tub was high quality, and the water temp was absolutely perfect at a balmy 100°! The staff made sure I knew the date, time and how it was sanitized, which put my family at ease. The one drawback of this cabin is that we were unable to use the awesome stone fireplace, which appeared prominently in all the pictures; and something we were really looking forward to, since the temps were in the 30's. I would have expected more freedom in that department- it's Gatlinburg!! Fireplaces are a huge part of the experience! Overall, I would highly recommend the Artist's Nest cabin.
