Review: Overall we enjoyed our stay at Pine Knott. It can be a challenge to find and would definitely recommend finding it the first time in the daylight. Really liked the keyless entry where you don’t have to stop and pick up a key. The beds were comfortable and the cabin has a nice bathroom. Kitchen was missing some basic items (baking sheet, pot large enough to cook pasta in) and some of the appliances are showing wear – broken dishwasher rack, cracked microwave door. Would like to have had a locking bedroom door and even though I knew it when I made the reservation, would have been nice to have Wi-Fi. My only slight complaint was the poor lighting in the cabin, especially in the kitchen and at the dining table, I’m not sure if the owner’s are going for the true cabin feel, but I prefer to cook in a brighter lit kitchen area.
